About Brigid Counseling Services
I approach therapy with a client-centered orientation, meaning my goal is to guide individuals in discovering their own truth. When we experience mental and emotional imbalance, tapping into our personal truth plays a crucial role in healing. I utilize theoretical approaches that uncover subconscious and distorted thought patterns that no longer serve you. These coping mechanisms were originally developed in response to past challenges and once served a purpose. However, when they begin to reinforce a negative view of your worth and potential, they can become obstacles to growth. Helping you break free from these patterns is my focus.
I graduated from Antioch University in Seattle with a doctorate in clinical psychology in 2021. My doctoral research explored adolescent brain development and behavior. My clinical training took place in psychiatric facilities, where I worked with patients undergoing treatment for severe mental disorders. For the past five years, I have been a private practitioner, primarily serving individuals with mood disorders, anxiety, panic disorders, attention deficit disorders, and personality disorders.
